This is the easiest thing to do and it's so much healthier to make your own! Anything you cook at home you have complete control over all the ingredients, the quality, quantity, sodium, fat and I'm pretty sure you won't be adding anything that you can't spell or pronounce like you find on grocery store shelves. All I did for this stock was add a ton of veggies (whatever you like), cover with water in your biggest stock pot and let it simmer for about 90 minutes. I used celery, carrots, onion, leeks, parsley, garlic, bay leaves and peppercorns for flavor. It makes such a rich and hardy stock that not only tastes better but is healthier for you! Store in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for later use. Happy stock making!
